In this sermon from Joshua 2:1-24, we begin the summer series Small Stories, Big Faith by looking at Rahab and the surprising reach of God’s mercy.
Rahab is a Canaanite, a prostitute, and an outsider in a condemned city. Yet she hears what the Lord has done, fears Him rightly, and seeks refuge under His promise. Her story shows that true faith hears, fears, and acts.
The sermon also traces the path to Christ in Joshua 2. Rahab is an outsider under judgment who is brought into God’s people through a promise of rescue. In Christ, outsiders are brought near, the guilty are covered, and everyone who takes refuge in Him is welcomed by grace.
