One of the unique elements about our chapel is that we are led by a community chaplain. In addition to serving our church, our chaplain, Luke, has a specific remit to reach, love, and serve the wider community of Hudson’s Hope. As a Fellowship Chaplain, Luke seeks to provide a “ministry of presence” by demonstrating Christ’s love to people where they live and work.
As a community chaplain, Luke is available to provide practical support, spiritual guidance and counsel, and pastoral care to people living throughout Hudson’s Hope, and the surrounding peace region. This includes home visits, one-on-one counselling and prayer, hospital and care home visitation, bereavement care, etc.
Finally, we are available to build tangible relationships with other community organizations, corporate offices, social services, etc. providing in-person spiritual support, counselling, and community care to staff, service users, volunteers, members, etc.
