Joshua 2 tells the story of Rahab, an unlikely outsider in Jericho who hears what the Lord has done, fears Him rightly, and seeks refuge under His promise. She is not introduced as a polished religious person or an obvious example of faith. She is a Canaanite, a woman with a complicated past, and someone living in a condemned city.
And yet God, in His mercy, brings her in. Rahab’s story reminds us that God’s grace is wider than our assumptions. True faith hears, fears, and acts. It stops trusting the walls that cannot save and takes refuge in the mercy God provides.
