Humanity: Created, Fallen, and in Need of Redemption

Humanity: Created, Fallen, and in Need of Redemption

What does it mean to be human? Perhaps even more importantly… what does it mean to be created as human, in the image of God? And why does that often seem so broken?
This message explores one of the most foundational—and misunderstood—Christian doctrines: the nature of humanity. Drawing from Scripture and honest reflection on our world and ourselves, we’ll discover that humanity was created in the image of God, but has been marred by sin, and in desperate need of restoration. We explore the truth that even our best efforts to fix what’s broken fall short. But the good news is: God hasn’t abandoned us. He is still at work, and through Jesus Christ, He is restoring what sin has damaged.

We’ll look at:

• Our unique identity as image-bearers of God
• The reality and depth of human sin • Why we still matter, even when broken
• And how grace alone can restore what has been lost
